Grandpa has always been a hard worker. He does what needs to be done without watching the clock. I remember when we were first married he would set the alarm clock on his watch to remind himself to come home. I admire him for so many things.
Sunday, as we walked along the beach, it was fun to compare this ocean and beach with the one I walked along last Sunday at Shauna's house 2645 miles to the west. This beach slopes gradually with the sand firmly packed beneath your feet. The water is very shallow for a long way out. Shauna's waves are higher, the sand is squishier and the water gets deeper in a hurry. It's pretty cool to go from sea to shining sea in a day's time. I will be watching the launch Friday from the beach. It will be a new experience since I have watched previous launches from the space center.
